Nate Gross is originally from Michigan, but spent most of his adult life in Southern California before moving to Georgia in 2013. He attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles and was a part of their repertory company. He holds a master of fine arts degree in acting and directing, as well as a bachelor’s in history, and a master’s in education. He performed, taught, and directed theatre for several years in California’s Inland Empire, winning four Inland Theatre League awards for both acting and directing. Last year, Professor Gross was recognized by the Kennedy Center’s American College Theatre Festival for excellence in directing for Andrew College’s production of "'Master Harold' … and the boys."  His performance experience is heavily weighted toward Shakespeare, playing many of the bard’s most interesting characters including Hamlet, Macbeth, Petruchio, and  Iago. He also had a small recurring role on the soap opera, "The Bold and the Beautiful" in the late 1990s.
